- Low co-efficient to thermal expansion resists damage caused by severe shocks
- Light weight and high mechanical strength
- Fully carbonized to eliminate extractable impurities
- May be used in most acids, alkalies, and solvents (nor recommended in highly oxidizing conditions)
- Long life packing with high temperature operating capabilities. Often used in chlorine-hydrochloric mixtures and phosphoric acid.
